Field Guide Vol. 227
Whether attended by writers in their real lives or in the pages of their novels, social gatherings of the literary world have spanned across time and place. Throughout history and around the world, there have been some iconic literary parties ranging from writers, editors and the like gathering in apartments or local bookstores to literary giants partying in the south of France. This week’s Field Guide is inspired by these exuberant literary nights where schmoozing, debauchery, ideas, failures, and triumphs collide. Journey with us as we traverse literary parties from around the world. We begin with a few photos from a Stranger’s Guide partnered event that took place this weekend hosted at co-founder and Editor in Chief Kira Brunner Don’s house.
