On Wednesday night there was a blue supermoon that was definitely worth seeing. A supermoon is when a full moon occurs at the moon’s closest distance to earth and a blue moon is when there’s two full moons within the same month. This is what made last night’s celestial event especially remarkable. I caught a glimpse of the moon myself and I can confirm that it was a special sight. Don’t fret if you didn’t get a chance to catch it though—you can see the blue supermoon in these stunning images from around the world in Time Magazine. You’ll definitely want to take a look since the next blue supermoon won’t happen again until 2037!
