Vietnam’s Love Market

Each spring, hundreds of people from Vietnam’s northern hill tribes, including the Tày, Nùng, Giáy and Hmong, trek—some for days—across vegetation-rich rocky cliffs to attend an age-old event: the Khau Vai love market. The annual celebration is an opportunity for singletons to find love and for old flames, who never married for various reasons, to reunite.
